Some Top Tips for Moving Wardrobes

Top Tip One - An obvious one – but empty them first, there is no point in trying to save time and end up with the entire contents on the floor as soon as you start to move the items.

Top Tip Two - If you are decorating and need to move wardrobes that have inbuilt Forsyth Glazing Sliding Doors make sure that if you need to move the rails keep all parts together, like screws and bolts. If possible, take a photo first to make sure you can remember all the elements

Top Tip Three – Check measurements beforehand and make sure you can manoeuvre the wardrobe over tricky areas like the stairwell or that it will fit into a lift if needed. It is quite hard to move the wardrobe once you are in a position that you cannot get it back into the room it came from.

Top Tip Four – Make sure you have plenty of help on the day. Make sure there are enough adults who can comfortably lift the heavy item. This is important if you have more than one wardrobe to move.

Top Tip Five – Ensure you have the right removal van for the job if you are moving home. If you consider the length of your wardrobe, although a wardrobe can be broken down, it is not possible to completely break the length of a wardrobe down. Often the bulkiness can be overcome with taking wardrobe doors apart, but not the length.
